Ok so vmk is closing!?!?

um, ok so my friends are telling me that vmk is closing and that theres gonna be another site. but the thing is idk what the site is! HELP!

I don't know either but reading about this closing thing with vmk I found out that they only did vmk because it was a 50th anniversary thing and went on longer than it should have.

Someone else said that it wasn't really Disney people behind the scenes so whoever did the site is working on something else but they haven't done it yet.  

I read a few other people suggested xivio.com because they have tons of free stuff like music and videos that you can share in your room with a friend.  You can also share pics.  It took me a little time to figure out but now I like it.  So, until something else comes out I am going to stick to this one.  It already has a ton of members and so far they are really nice.

From what it sounds like it won't be just one site but several sites(worlds) that they will try and move people into.   This includes sites such as ToonTown Online, Pirates OnLine and ClubPenguin.  In the future they are talking about adding online worlds relating to the Disney Fairies and Cars.

Lots of other members from VMK have come to Xivio, you should check it out. It's a little confusing at first.

FREE to play, NO downloads!

Members can explore many rooms in Xivio World, main rooms, other members rooms, and their OWN room. (complete with a lock and a lease.)

There are MANY items that members can use to customize their avatar "Xiv", and their room. Their hompy (personal homepage) can also be customized with their own background, images, and colors.

They upload their own music, their own videos, and keep their own personal blog updated.

They can listen to music in their own room that they create, and let their in world friends listen and visit. Members customize their avatar, and their own room. New items are added often.

So basically...there will be no mroe VMK whatsoever! They just say visit www.Disney.com and maybe in  the future they'll come up with a new game...or you can play some of the other ones they already have like Pirates of the Caribbean Online.

Because Disneylands 50th birthday, VMK was opens to attract us to Disneyland. Since the celebration is over so is VMK. They said "VMK wasn't ment to last forever." VMK will be deolished next May.
