Ok so we just got married & are trying to get pregnant......?

Question

I have been daydreaming im sure like all hopeful moms are & thinking about all the clothes, what colors we are going to do the room in & names of course....Im trying to think of some middle names that will be apart of mine & my husbands siblings. My brothers names are Josh & Colton & I was thinking about Jolton as a middle name for a boy. And both my sister & his sister's name is Courtney & Kortney. So I like Courtney as a middle name for a little girl...Tell me what you think of these names.

Paisley Courtney (Girl)

Sorry, I don't like either.  Paisley sounds like a hick name, Preston isn't bad but Jolton looks like a name out of Star Wars.

yeah i think its a good idea.

as long as you keep jolton for a middle name. usually mixed names are weird and hard to pronounce but this one is good.! and i like courtney too, but maybe you should spell it cortney or kourtney, so its a mix. i like courtney for a middle or first name. ( i like it way better as a first name, btw, i think somtimes it sound werid with the EY at the end in a middle name) so here are some middle or first names to go with courtney.

i would spell Courtney like Kourtney. because if you spell it with a c, technically it isnt honoring his sister.

Paisley Courtney doesnt sound good cuz it ends in they y sound and preston jolton doesnt sound good cuz they end in the ton sound

Yeah I agree, both name combinations are bad because they end with the same sound. PaislEY CournEY and PresTON ColTON. Not good.

If you are going to name the boy Preston, maybe at least make that his middle name, and give him a cool first name. Two nerdy names would just be cruel.

Sorry to be so negative, but you did post the question, so I'm just being honest. Nothing wrong with the name "Paiseley" or "Courtney" I think. I just wouldn't have two names ending with "-ey."

Courtney would be a nice first or middle name. Preston is ok. I don't like Paisley or Jolton. Why not use the name Joshua Colton or Colton Joshua for a boy?

I love the name Paisley and I think it sounds very unique and sophisticated.  And I think it flows really well with Courtney.

And I think Preston Jolton is cute and unique too and you could always call him PJ if he doesn't like it for some reason.

I think Courtney is a fine name, but I don't like Paisley.  I don't like Preston Jolton at all.

I think your name choices are cute, but they don't 'flow' as nicely as they could. They are bold choices for sure- I don't think I'd be brave enough to use them so be ready for strong opinions.

-Paisley, and Courtney both end in "ey" so its a bit repetitive. What about Paisley Cora, or Paisley Corrinne? They sound similar to Courtney, but go nicer with Paisley.

-Preston Jolton has the same type of problem with the endings. What about Preston Cash (it gets the ash from Joshua, and C from Colton), or Preston Noah (the 'no' from Colton, and 'ah' from Joshua)?
