Ok so what shouled my % target zone be in cardio?

OK so i have gatherd my mhr wouled be 179 fomula 220 - age (41) = 179, now at which Target zone is best 70% ...80%...90%... or 100% of my mhr is best thanks all for youer help

  1. Your target heart rate range should be between 60%-85% of your maximum heart rate. For example, 220-20[age]=200 (-)60[resting heart rate]= 140. Multiplied by 60 and 85%= 84 and 119 respectively. the add back the resting heart rate. 84+60 and 119+60. 144-179 is my target heart zone if I calculated right.

  3. It's supposed to be 80% of max HR for cardio. This CAN vary however. Some people have naturally lower or higher ratio. The real measure of good or bad cardio exercise is wether or not you sweat. You should sweat significantly when doing cardio, no matter what your fitness level. You should also be getting somewhat sore.

    No sweat, no soreness, no progress.
