  1. well its august now and i saw some advertised in my local paper

  2. Pups are born 63 days after the mother is bred.  There is no breeding season, although pups are typically more abundant in springtime, you can find them year-round.  Just find a breeder and go from there.  Also, a puppy born in September won't be ready to go home until Christmas or later, and good breeders don't sell Christmas puppies, so you'd probably end up waiting until January at that point- puppies that are ready to go home now would have been born no later than early June.  You can't buy a newborn, pups have to be 8-12 weeks to go home with a new family.

  3. Heh, puppies are born all the time ;) Contact your local CKCS club, and see if they can put you in touch with a local breeder.

  4. I wish I had a a king charles spaniel.

  5. King Charles spaniels are prone to heart problems about the age of 6 onwards, and eventually they have to be put down. The belly starts to swell with fluid and the animal has difficulty getting about. There is no cure for it. I speak from experience.

    It is caused by breeding.

  6. lol. they are born throughout the year.

  7. Puppies are born all year round. I would check with a breeder.

Also get your dog tested for brain conditions as they are highly prone to them.

Im not trying to put you of but watch pedigree dogs exposed. Try looking at pedigree before buying to avoid buying an inbred. Also go for working bred insted of show bred as they are less prone to having hereditry desieses caused by show breeding.

  8. Of course! All animals and babies are born in September. Haven't you seen the flocks of stalks delivering them all at the end of the summer?

  9. any time of year.

try not to get one around x-mas, some people, BYBs play on the fact that pups are easier to sell at x-mas...........so creating more pups that's not needed, just for money.

a good breeder wont sell pups at x-mas anyway without thoroughly vetting the family interested.

do you mean a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel???

or a King Charles Spaniel known in some country's as the English Toy Spaniel, the are smaller and have a flatter nose and domed head, two different breeds.

Pedigree Dogs Exposed only covered the Cavalier, not the King Charles (English Toy).

  10. great choice in dog! I have a cavalier king charles spaniel and he has such a good temperment, wouldnt hurt a thing, so affectionate and loving. But like the other said be careful of their proness to illness, watch pedigrees exposed and you will be shocked at how inbred the breed is, as they can get a brain condition which has been described as 'the worst pain a human can feel' because there skulls are too small so their brain is squished.

hope i didnt put you off as they are a great breed!

  11. Good Luck with your pup.

If you haven't already read this, it gives good advice:

  12. like humans born all year around,

  13. Your best option is to get one from a reputable rescue that has their dogs fully checked over by a vet and behaviour assessed by a professional behaviourist.

  14. Puppies are born about 63 days after the male and female tie.

  15. They are great dogs (i have one myself), they are born all year round.

Although, you must know about the health issues.  Check out Pedigree dogs exposed on youtube. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=-1LyjlX4Mp...
