  1. He is 4. Many, many 4y/o's do not like to sleep alone. This is not abnormal. Nor is it abnormal for him to have an imaginary friend.

Also, stuff get put in different places all the time - it will show up. For example, how many times have misplaced your keys, the remote or even that elusive 'other sock'?

As for the scratches, does go to kinder or the like? Do you have trees around your house?

We have found odd scratches on our daughter when we have been sure that "they were not there before she went to bed". Often scratched will be more prominent the next day as the redness has come out more - this is supposed to happen.

So, before you start believing in any ghost stories about your house, think of normal causes for these events. You will find that they are just mundane every day run of the mill happenings.

See, real life is actually quite boring isn't it? That is why people feel the need to embellish their feeble existences by creating ghost stories and fables.

  2. I don't understand why so many people on here think hearing their kids talk to someone that isn't there is reason to believe they have a ghost.  Kids just do that.  They babble, they read out loud to themselves, they sing.  Think about it.  Do you ever talk out loud to yourself?  Or to people on the television ("don't go in there", "no she didn't", or "you go girlfriend"), driving by in other cars ("stupid @*!?%, learn how to drive"), or random people on the street (oh, yeah that sideways hat make you look totally gangsta, idiot").  It's just something people do, kids moreso.  Many kids refuse to sleep in their rooms, wanting instead to sleep with Mommy and Daddy.  Getting them to sleep in their own room is part of raising them, like teaching them how to walk, and potty training.  Stuff "disappearing" (getting lost) and hearing things is part of reality.  Houses settle, a car door slams down the block, you put your keys in a different spot one time, and now can't find them.  All of this is 100% commonplace.

  3. get out of that house. I had that and they killed my son, i found him one morning and he was lying dead on the floor!!!!!!1

  4. I agree with xmelax35, contact TAPS! Yes they have a TV show but besides that they are a non-profit organization going on 18 years now. They take cases with children very seriously.

I emailed them a question when writing a school paper and they had gotten back to me within less than a weeks time. TAPS also has what they call a TAPS family which is investigative teams throughout the US that are approved and use the same methods as them. There is probably one located near you.

  5. If it is a benevolent spirit, it will not harm anyone. If it is a malevolent spirit, you might want to call in a pro to remove it from your home. It sounds harmless though and I would not do anything unless it becomes problematic.

  6. I believe that not all ghosts are evil spirits ^^ Your son could be really "talking" to someone, who knows?? Have you try to make some sort of contact?

I hear foot steps every day in my house (Not just me, my sis, my mom too,) yes, I know, people told us the house could be creaking and making weird noises, but the thing is.... it happened every day exactly at the same time, someone is walking upstair~~~ We haven't "suffer" from anything yet, so we are leaving him/her alone up there, lol.

  7. I do not know too much about the paranormal...but you might want to be careful and make sure it is not an angry spirit..because those are bad....I personally have never experienced any paranormal activity but members of my family have....Hire someone or do some research o your own to find out who this lady is or was and if it really is a old lady!

  8. Try this....

  9. Sounds like the former owners set you up nicely for this one.  They say the house is haunted, so that's the explanation you settle on to explain anything out of the ordinary.

Your son is afraid of the dark?  So was I.  So is every kid.

  10. get a medium do not tell the medium anything about your ghost, let them make contact then firmly tell her this is not her home any more and she must leave you in peace

  11. Call the Discovery Channel and make some money. They have shows like that.

In the meantime, if you actually think something is going on, and your son is upset, I would consider moving. However, people tend to lose things, old houses tend to creak, and children tend to make up imaginary friends. Again, though, it's not worth your childs sanity.

Did your son hear it was "haunted" beforehand? Or did he come to some sort of similar conclusion on his own? If he heard you say that then he may be taking that and his imagination running with it.

  12. The old woman protects your son she would never harm him ...however, there is a more sinister presence there that sometimes over powers her.

If I were you, I would either move out of that house or have a spiritual person come by and cleanse it.

  13. oooh i'd be really scared. My family thought my Nan's house was haunted. Same experiences as you, my cousin used to talk to a "lady with no face" in the spare room.

i hope you find a way to get rid of ghostie/sort your house out lol

  14. get some more evidence.

Ask your son who is he talking to. If he says "Mavis Briggs, aged 83" then you can investigate further. if he says "Iggle Piggle" you can breathe again.

  15. This is not meant to be sarcastic at all, how about contacting Taps?  I listed the link below.  There are other people that they show on television that do this sort of thing.  My boyfriend records all them shows.  Try contacting one of them places and maybe they have other ideas for you.  Good luck.

  16. cool , i`l come over on haloween then, this is a case of most haunted live !....

(sorry but im really into all that paranormal stuff)

u need to get your house blessed or something like that.......

  17. Watch a few of those shows about paranormal activity like "Ghost Hunters" That show is where they check out peoples houses that they think are haunted at night w/ diff eqipment like video cameras and sound recorders and see if any of that looks or sounds like what maybe happening in your house. I hoped I was able to help cuz this was all I could think of. But on some of the shows they get theie hpuses blessed by pastors or church like people ( i dont know what they call them ) So ya good luck though....

  18. ghosts can appear in any household they obviously have hung around in the house to state where they stand i would say take  a step and be safe find out why they are there ? if it is a risk of putting your son or yourself in deputy i would start looking for a new hosue paranormal can be tricky to deal with however they may be innocent and may want to help you .

  19. i have things like this happen to me all the time. maybe he is talking to himself some kids do that. As far as things dissapearing idk. lol like someone said u should get your house blessed. I would be totally freaked out with things like that!

    hope this helps!

also talk with someone who deals with that kinda stuff.

  20. You might want to get a priest or minister in to bless your house, even if your arent especially religious. That is way creepy

  21. Get out!

Thats how ghost stories start off!

    =]

  22. u need to spray ur home with pee therefore no1 will wanna come to ur house especially ghosts...

  23. A large number of  kids around that age have a "special friend only they can see", and all kids enjoy being a little rebellious at that age too, so you can happily rule out anything paranormal and either tell your son not to be so silly, or indulge him by moving him to a different room.

The fact is, I hear things in my house too. Drains, roof trusses expanding in the heat, and the central heating at work.

Stuff sometimes disappears around my house too. I'm getting absent-minded as I get older and there seems to be an infestation of teenagers.

Now if someone tells you you've got ghosts that need an exorcism and you agree, I'll be disappointed in you, but I'll be forced to get over it.

  24. when we lived in a different house my mum cleansed up the grave of a young girl and she came to her house and i have been told we were like sisters and i used to play with her and when people came to our house they would hear footsteps on the stairs and think it was me but it wasn't. then my mum went back there a few weeks ago (it had been about 12 years since then) and when she got back to our house she found all the light kept coming on and drawers open! you could tell your son that this old woman will watch over him to make sure he is alright?
