Ok those tips worked wonderfullly, the cd is open and ive got the installation disk in?

NOW though , that ive got the installation disk in a gain, the laptop starts to power up for about two seconds and then stops . The power cord is plugged in to both the laptop and the outlet. any suggestions

  1. Don't know the first part but try removing the battery and waiting a bit. then plug in just the cord and see if maybe you have a bad cell in you battery.
