  1. No. You are supposed to throw the eggs away for 2 weeks after giving them worm medication.

And Beth is wrong, the do get worms and do need to be given wormer, mostly if they free range. Anything in their boodstream also goes into the egg, thats why you shouldn't eat their eggs while giving them antibiotics and other medicines.

Here is a link if anyone wants to read about worming:

  2. you should call a vet to be sure.

  3. I eat eggs, but no, I would not eat the eggs while the chickens are on worm medicine.

  4. No.  Medicine can transfer from the chicken to the egg, therefore into you.

  5. I know a woman who does eat her chickens eggs even during worming. I personally don't see the big deal. If the dosage doesn't kill the bird, it's obviously not going to cause a human too many problems....IF it even does effect the egg that is. Also, humans too have worms, and in my personal oppinon I don't think it would be too bad  of a thing to get "wormer" in my system every now and then...however I have not tried it yet ha ha.

  6. I'm probably just really dumb,

but I don't understand this question!

    haha

    Sorry

  7. It should be fine.

Usually the medications won't effect the eggs. Its fine to eat them. The medication goes threw there bloodstream. It doesnt effect the eggs at all.

Why do you give them medication wormer? That isnt needed for chcikens. It can hurt them. I would cunsult a avian vet to be sure. I never knew of using wormer. They dont get worms just to tell you.....
