Ok we get oxygen from leavs on the trees rite??

so when it becomes winter where do we get the oxygen when the trees are bare??

  1. From the algae in the oceans and also from trees and other plants in the tropics and in the southern hemisphere.  It's summer down there when it's winter here.


  2. 90% of the CO2 > O2 conversion is done in the water by protists like algae

  3. 20% of the worlds oxygen comes from the Amazon Rain forest (no winter there) and I am sure a great deal more comes from all the rainforests together. I would surmise that at least 50% of the earth's Oxygen comes form tropical forest where no winter occurs (at least freezing temps) and the rest comes from temperate climates.

  4. We do not just rely on the current supply of oxygen for a given season. Remember, the atmosphere is 21% oxygen!
