So rarely do aircraft meet head to head in "single combat" that these sorts of questions are almost irrelevant.

From the choice that you've provided, the 35 is the best - after all it is a development of the 29M the production name of the 33. Also note that there are now two generations of aircraft designated F-18 - Hornets and Super Hornets.

The F-16 really isn't in the running here, as it's role is somewhat different to the other aircraft listed.

Overall though, understand that American aircraft have their high kill ratios (thinking F-15 here) because of the vast support network behind these aircraft and their crew. Without AWACS, SEAD and many men on the ground these numbers would be nowhere near as impressive.

Furthermore, it has been a long time since properly supported Russian manufactured aircraft have ever engaged in any aerial conflict.

Having seen all the three fly, nothing in the skies of the day can beat the MiG-35 in terms of maneuverability. When it comes to weaponry, the MiG-35 carries longer range missiles, more powerful radar and a competent avionics suite. So all around, the MiG-35 is the best in this lot.

Before someone says its the pilot that decides the outcome, this answer is made on the assumption that all the aircrafts are flown by equally skilled pilots.

Edit for Michigan: The fancy "goofy" maneuvers doesn't inhibit its high speed performance. As a matter of fact, in a dogfight braking from 300 kts to 100 has its advantage. Doing a 360 along the pitch axis will turn the hunter prowling in the traditional 'six' of the MiG into instant prey. There is no safe zone around the MiG-35 while the entire rear hemisphere of the F-16 or the F-18 is its weakness.

Regarding the F-15, er, its not in the list. But then again, the F-15 is too old to meet the new MiG-35. Let us remember it as the legend.

Fancy goofy aerobatic maneuvers at very slow speeds are useless. Get over it. Dogfights don't take place at 180 knots.
