Not specific to Florida. Kolaches are filled cookies.They are Czech or Slavik. Sometimes you'll find them in a store that sells Russian and Polish foods also.

I live in Florida and don't know what kolaches are? I knew what golashes were ( boots), when I live up North!

I don't know of a single Czech bakery in FL, but I'm sure there's a recipe somewhere online.
