I am a 19 year old male and i love drawing. I really want to get some money by drawing but i just dont see how this can happen. I am starting to see that drawing is just a good way to express yourself other than that it has no point when it comes to business. What business can be done by drawing? Is there any? Cheers.

  1. You could work in computer animation or designing products.

  2. point to life, our entertainment - games, movies, animation, decoration (paintings), it can be a hobby, its found everywhere, movies that requires fictional charecters usually require 3d animation, and you need pencil drawings and a story board to create all that, which can give alot of money, one example of a movie is lord of the rings, you can usually free lance with art, jumping company to company drawing for them, if you want to make a company, then you would have to free lance first in order to save money and start it

an animator is said to be paid 1000 per week on his first year, upto 5000 per week if he is about 10 years experienced

  3. of course they have...you can sell it online or held something like a function to sell them...you can also open your own gallery so people will come and buy it...you know, beautiful and amazing drawing will give you a lot of money

  4. Well, you could get into a career like animation or computer / graphic design, etc, and work for a company like for example Walt Disney and design clothes or advertisements or logos. I suppose that would be restrictive in what you draw and design. You could always get a more practical job like that which would allow you to make good money from your drawings, and then do more artistic painting or whatever your style of drawing is on the side, and perhaps try to showcase them in an art gallery somewhere to get started and get more well-known.

  5. Commercials, Portraits, and just your 'art style.

  6. Almost EVERY business can be done by drawing. And without drawing, our world would fall apart! Everything around you, from your washing machine to your house to your car to the packaging on your chocolate bar to the fabric on your bedspread, was designed by an artist. This website was designed by an artist. Artists create the world around us. There are very few businesses in all the world which do NOT need an artist somewhere in their employment, or at least to hire one from time to time. Artists are in every industry and there is a huge demand for them. I'm astonished that there are people who are not aware of this.

Some of the many areas you could go into: graphic design (websites and digital art), product or packaging design (lots of demand here), concept art (for animation, video games etc), animation (2D traditional, 2D computer, 3D), logo design for businesses, car or vehicle design, architectural drawing, tattoo design, portrait commission, freelance illustration (huge range of potential employment)... to give more specific suggestions, I would have to know what kind of art you most enjoy, and the style you like to draw in. Don't worry about the "starving artist" stereotype. It's true that fine artists trying to sell their paintings often struggle, and sometimes freelancers do too, but the majority of working artists have steady jobs with all the usual benefits.

If you're not certain yet, I suggest that you go to art college. You can probably get good career advice there.

  7. My friend's brother is an artist and he channels this creativity by being a web-page designer.  You could also design logos for business's.

  8. U can draw portraits for ppl, draw caricatures, go into computer graphics, cartooning, comics, graphic designing (for clothes), u can even enter art competitions and win money!

This link is a list of art contests that u can enter if u want to ;)

  9. You may have to redirect slightly. I'm in the same boat I love to draw and paint but I realized that, that as a career choice may not be the most sufficient. I took a class on Graphic communications and loved it!!!! I've been the most successful student due to my drawing and painting background!!!
