Four steel bands surround a shipping crate. Find the total length of the strapping needed. The dimensions of the box are Height- 2.7ft. Length-4.2ft. and width- 1.2ft. If you can help me figure out how to set this problem up that would be great thanks!

  1. you need to first find the area of all sides so you first need to do lw x 2 + hl x 2 + hw x 2 then multiply that by 4 for the bands, hope this helps

  2. Idk which sides the steel bands are on.. does each side of the crate of 2 bands going over it? If so could you take the L+W+H and times that answer by 4? which would be 32.4? ..cuz there's 4 straps each on LWH 2 on both sides on all three sides if you get what I'm saying.. IDK don't go by what I say I guess cuz I'm not sure! lol! but 2 sides will have 4 straps passing.. nvm I guess IDK what I'm even saying! I did all the work of thinking about this so I'm going to post it lol :p
