is the best brand of web hosting software (especially if one of the people who wrote one donated a free download of their work to society) I could use to keep the site on my OWN computer (assuming I'd then have to leave the computer on all the time, now) and have people access it right there, complete with a website NAME (rather than just an IP number)?

(I want my website for my video production business.)

I use Site Build It! It's really more than hosting software.  It's a complete web business system.  I'm not very technical, so what I really is that this complete system takes you step by step through the process all the way from planning and research to choosing a good domain name to building the site (you do NOT need to know any HTML) to optimizing and submitting to search engines to building traffic (very necessary if you want to use it to build your video business) and more.

There is a fee, but I don't think it's any more than a small display ad in the yellow pages and it includes domain registration and hosting and email.

As with any business, there is work involved, but any average person can do it if they follow the step by step instructions!
