Okay, My limewire isn't working? (10 points)?

i have recently installed the latest java update.

now it says it is trying to connect to limewire and there is sno search results..=[

Any Help?

limewire is a program full of bugs. they make it like that so you have to buy the pro version. my suggestion would be to move on to frostwire or bittorent both are the same as limewire and work better.

I had the same problem. What I did was I went to file and I disconnected it . I left it like that for about 3 days or so. When I back i connected limewire and it worked. if this doesn't work try uninstalling and then installing it again.

to me limewire is a waste of time! everyone now has a problem with it! i had limewire but i had to unistall it because my antivirus took up plenty trojans and tracking cookies! people say be careful of what you download but we really don't know what files not to download! i downloaded julio iglesias music and it was infected! and i didn't know! i recommend ares! this program is free of everything and its safe of viruses and also its legal! and it doesn't have problems like limewire! try it!

Back when I had limewire, I often encountered similar problems.

I ended up having to uninstall it, and when i reinstalled it everything went back to normal =]

However, I detest limewire and have no idea why it's so popular.

Try a torrent client such as BitLord or BitComet - these are much more effective and produce more search results as well as optimising your download speed. I know a few good tutorials if you're lost with these in the beginning. I'd say forget limewire and move on =]

Why is Limewire so popular it is rubbish.  I tried to use it aswell but gave up after a few days.  If I want to listen to just music I go onto YouTube, find the video I want and then fire up Audacity, it's a free audio editor.  It will allow you to record any song as either a wav or mp3 and save it onto your computer.  For videos I use YouTube Downloader.

I would uninstall it then reinstall it. That would be the easiest way. Then make sure that it is allowed to function through your firewall. Go to control panel> Windows Firewall> Exceptions and make sure LimeWire is checked.

You should really leave limewire and look into Torrents. Do some research and you will be MUCH happier and SAFER.
