Okay, Who's 3-4 year old Begs, Bugs, Demands, Annoys, Laughs, then Repeats?

I rarely get the time to watch tv. Today I wanted to watch the news. So my 3-year old darling daughter asks(demands) ,"I want Nemo". I tell her I'm watching the news right now, maybe tomorrow you can watch your movie. So she says,"I want Nemo". She repeats herself 10-15 times till I get annoyed. Then she starts laughing at me. Arg.

She plays this little game several times a day for several months now. Anyone else's 3-4 year old do this? Is there anything I can do to keep her from doing this? Or do I just have to ride it out?

Get annoyed the 2nd time she says it, instead of the  20th..you'll save a lot of time ;)

Does she get to watch Nemo?  I hope not.  In my experience they will always push to see how far they can get.  My daughter has tried things like that (she is three)  but once she realizes she gets no where she stops.  She sometimes throws a fit, but that too doesn't get her anywhere with me.

She will also learn that if demanding for 15 mins gets her her way, she will keep demanding for 15 mins to get it.

Yeah my son use to be worse about it but now i apply the ignore the negative factor to it and if he repeats it i just say no and then ignore from that point on.  It is buggy that they keep repeating but eventually they start to take you serious and realize you aren't going to give them their way.  It is all about ignoring the negative behaviors.

My daughter does the same thing only she is just 19 months old.All they want is your attention. Example:I will be on the computer for a while and my daughter will start to whine and cry.I will ignore it for a few mins but then she almost gets hysterical.So I will just get up.....and she is fine.But we do need to teach them about mommy time.I just dont know how... I dont think its anything to worry about.Try to tell her about mommy time and see if she will understand you,that you are not ignoring her you just want to watch tv.

Well...in my case,I quit watching tv.  So, she does it while I am on the internet (wanting to play her games) so I solved that by giving her her very own computer. Next it came driving...so I bought her a powerwheels.  Then came drinking.  I like margaritas, and so she had to start drinking them....I finally had to draw the line at smoking, because cigarettes can get expensive. :o) No really though...Think about it.  You are her whole entire world.  She loves and admires you more than anybody ever will.  Mom, she just wants to be with you, and do what you are doing.  She is testing her limits, because you are her best friend as well as her mom.  It is easy for her to try stuff out on you...and when you get mad and want to choke her-she laughs.  Why? I dunno, but I like to do the same thing to my hubby.  Anywho...I am going through the same thing.  Its just a phase.  Remember when she used to do this when she was 1 years old -_________<--insert bad behavior here or this when she was 2 years old -_________<--insert bad behavior here. This too shall pass...But in the meantime, make sure you dont forget to enjoy these moments...as trying as they are. :o)
