Like, if the forecasts TODAY say there's a 40% chance of thunderstorms happening THIS saturday (which is THREE DAYS away), then do you think it'll actually happen?

Do you think there will be a chance for it to change to sunny and dry weather by saturday? 0_o

  1. I know that in Colorado, meteorologists have to be right less than half of the time in their forecasts to keep their job.

So in that sense, I do not pay weather forecasts much heed.

  2. i think it's possible, but then again the weather forcasts are sometimes wrong...

  3. 40 % chance means that the rain will be 40% coverage in your area, meaning you might get a thunderstorm, and someone 5 miles down the road might get nothing. Nobody can predict which house will the get the strorm. My local forecast, 3 days out is usually always pretty accurate. If they are calling for a 40 % chance of storms 3 days out, i wouldn't cancel your plans just yet, i would keep watching the weather and see if they up the risk or lower it.

  4. they are not always right but then again they can be
