Okay, i have large eyes (which i love) but i heard something about eyeliner?

i heard that when you put eyeliner on the bottom of your eyes it actually makes them appear smaller. is that true? should i put eyeliner on the lid instead? (i won't do without eyeliner)

Apply eyeliner to lower and upper lid, your eyes will appear smaller.

yes  its true  i have large eyes too  and  i put eyeliner on the bottom but not too darkly    ps  its true that it makes ur eyes appear smaller becasue i watched a video on how to put on eyeliner and in it it said that when putting on bottom it makes ur eyes look smaller

actually when I put eyeliner on the bottom it kind makes them appear more almond

you can change the shape of them by differentiating the thickness on the top & bottom

(thicker on bottom+thinner on top=almond)

(thinner on bottom+thicker on top=rounded)

That is very true. Try using it on the top or a light shimmery shade on the bottom. If using it on the bottom stay away from dark shades.

Yeah it's true with dark eyeliner, but white can make them appear wider. Think of it this way most girls are going to wear dark eyeliner so your eyes will still appear larger.

-I have large eyes too and I like to use eye shawdow under my bottom lid if that helps

I have big eyes and I only put a little on the top otter corner and the bottom outer part and the I use q-tips to smudge it and then I use mascara and it looks great, I learned it while at school to be an esthetician.

If you rim the inside of your eyes with dark eyeliner it'll make them look smaller. I put mine on the top of the lid & that looks good =]

Yes it is true. I have big blue eyes and eyeliner just makes them look much smaller. With large eyes you should draw the eyeliner 1/3 from the outer part on both the top and bottom of the lids. Don't put the eyeliner around the whole eye. It will just make them look miniture.

The general rule is the darker the colour around your eyes the smaller they will appear. There are tricks to get around this though and still wear it on the bottom. Try putting a very subtle white dot in the center of the upper eyelid right above the lash line. This makes your eyes appear wider and is a crafty trick we use when on stage! You can also use a very light colour or a shine on the inner corner of your eye (around where the tear duct is) and this will make you appear more awake and your eyes wider. The plus side of wearing eyeliner is even though it makes your eyes appear smaller they also look whiter and so more dramatic so they stand out on your face. These facts can make up for it on it's own!

if you conect the eyeliner on the top and bottom it can look smaller depending on the shape but if you dont conect them then they will appear larger also if you want big eyes take a little white eyeshadow and place in the corner of your eye closest to your nose and it will brighten them up!

Here is the truth:

Surrounding your eyes with black eyeliner completely (all around) will make them appear smaller, but if you put the eyeliner only a quarter or a third of the way your eye (starting from the outter corner and NOT going all the way to the inner corner) then it will make them appear bigger, giving you the open-eyed look.
