if somebody gets shot, what do you do? do you apply pressure on the wound to stop the bleeding, or what? im just curious, i think i watch too many movies. :P

Per The Red Cross First Aid Manual, you apply pressure to the wound to stop the bleeding and call 911 to get a trained EMT on the scene as soon as possible and get to the Hospital fast. That's what you really should do.

if you got shot, don't think, call 911 directly...

but if you're an experienced people, you could get the bullet by yourself, it hurts too much though, but u need alcohol if no alcohol beer, then pour it on your shot, then if you can't reach the bullet inside by your hand, u must to cut it to get the bullet. only if your shot is not near the internal organs...then put a lot of pressure to prevent from massive blood loose...

Actually, a tampon makes a great dressing for a GSW, if you can get it into the hole even a little, it will help stop the bleeding and absorb blood.

That is not a joke--my friend was taught it in the Army.
