Okay, so I'm writing a book and...?

Question

My main character is blind in his right eye. Is it legal for him to drive? He lives in London, if that matters.

i don't know about London, but IRL, my Dad is blind in his right eye, and has a driver's license, and is a perfectly fine driver.

That is legal just about everywhere, and definitely in the UK provided there is good vision and field of view in the other eye.

BUT.  Only for a normal car licence.  Public service vehicles (buses) and heavy goods vehicle licences do require people to have vision in both eyes.  So he can't legally be a trucker.
