Okay, so I was absent on Tuesday from three classes?

for an Ortho. I warned all of my teacher's in advance, and two of them gave me my homework. The third told me there was no homework. Well, she decided that there was homework on that day, but when I got to school the next day she didn't say anything to me. On Thursday everyone was turning in assignments and I asked what they were and she said it was the homework she assigned Tuesday. I talked to her after class about how she told me that there wasn't any homework, and she was like 'You should have asked yesterday [she was referring to Wednesday] if there was any homework assigned' and she wouldn't listen to my reasoning. We had Friday off [four day weekend cause of Labor Day] and she refused to let me make up the homework. Should I try to keep fighting or do you think she was justified with her reasoning I should have asked on Wednesday even though on Monday she told me there was no homework?

  1. LISTEN: IF UR GONNA DITCH, MIGHT'S WELL MAKE IT GOOD,

OK, IF UR PARENTS ARE COOL, GET THEM TO SAY UR SICK OR AT THE DOCTOR'S; THEY NEVER VERIFY AND BLINDLY TRUST PARENTS.

AND IF ALL U NEED IS A SIGNATURE, JUST FORGE IT WITH A SCANNER AND PHOTOSHOP! IF U NEED A SIG AND U DONT WANNA SHOW THE FOLKS, JUST FORGE IT!

  2. You should tell the principal and he or she will work it out and if you're accused and your principal denies your request or speaking then tell your parents if your principal says think about it then keep your fingers crossed . that she'll get fired if you dont like her

  3. Wow, she certainly sounds unreasonable from the situation as you describe it, and if you can keep trying to get to make up this assignment, I would. You did ask in advance, which I think is pretty well-organized of you to begin with, and you were given an answer, not "Check back on Wednesday." You also had a medical reason for your absence, so yes, I think it's unfair not to let you make up the work. She may decide that she's given her answer and the question is closed, though, so is there any adult you can enlist on your side?

Edit: I see you added that your dad tried to talk to her. It's hard to believe a teacher is that unyielding. If this is a big assignment and will affect your grade, you may need to take it to a department head or administrator. Good luck.

Sounds like a lousy way to start a school year. I hope things improve with this teacher.

  4. If it won't hurt your grade-and you don't mind-just let it go, that's best sometimes-so you and your teacher don't get in an argument or anything. You did the right thing, so it's ok with you, you shouldn't get in any trouble. So you can either try to nicely explain to her why you think that you should be able to make up the homework. Good luck :)

  5. Well, if you were getting graded on the homework, then yes you should talk to your parents or ask her again. That's not really fair to you.

    Good luck. =]

  6. I would bring it up with a guidance councillor or a principal.  If nothing happens from that then you should just drop it.  There's no point in angering a teacher this early on in the year as it could make the rest of the year very awkward.
