Okay, so now what?

I bought environmentally friendly cleaners, microfiber cloths and dusters. My question is; now what do I do with all the evil cleaners I have left over? Do I have to take them to a hazmat station?

  1. Do you know anyone that still uses chem cleaners?  I think that sending them to be disposed of properly is a good idea, but I think a better one would be for someone to use them.  I'm assuming since you made the switch, you don't want them in your house (I wouldn't either!), but if a friend or someone in your family hasn't switched over yet, maybe you could give them away?

  2. GO to this website for your question: TREEHUGGER.COM!!! It's the greatest website in the world for the world, where fellow greeners can share ideas, concerns, and to get informed on the environment and how to help save it!

  3. Exactly what "evil" cleaners do you have?  How do they harm the environment?  Do you even know?  Most cleaners are just some form of detergent.  If you pour them down the drain, they will go to the waste water treatment plant where the bugs will make short work of them, in fact, they will probably enjoy them greatly as they are great food for these types of micro-organisms.  Alternately, you could dilute them water and pour the mix on you lawn or compost pile where they will perform essentially the same function.

  4. No,you use them up and never buy anymore. They were fine untill someone told you they weren't,now can you trust that info 100% no.Wasting is not right either. lol
