Would we be worried about infrared rays? Because UVs are on the blue side of the spectrum, so then if the sky was red we would be worried about the rays on the other side of the spectrum, infrared. Right?

  1. ..................

    good question.

  2. dude sky will always be blue. If it turns red you better worry because that will be the end.

  3. the sky would not be red b/c the frequencies of red light waves are shorter than  blue light wave frequencies

  4. infrared is a lower energy wavelength.

So assuming that the sky was red .. which it cant be because of why the sky is blue ...

or you can always stay inside and cry all day

  5. No. The sky only looks blue because as light hits the upper atmosphere it scatters light at other wavelengths leaving mostly blue light. The sky itself has no color; we just see blue since the white light from the sun is scattered. If it were scattered toward the red end of the spectrum it would not make a difference.
