In the normal offense, everyone attacks from the outer edge of the court inward. As in, the outside hitter usually starts outside the court. In the swing offense, all 3 hitters start from the middle of the court, and basically call their options to the setter so she knows where they are going. Like if Michael Jordan was playing volleyball, would you tell him he could only score from the left front side of the court? Well, if your team has a few Air Jordan type hitters, the swing will leave the other team with no idea how to defend them....lol!

  1. It looks fun, but would be really benefit when the OH is switching from right side to left side, or receiving in the middle.

The best offense is to spread along the net but not conjugating in the middle. The wider you put your hitters along the net, the more difficult it is to the defense.

  2. It works good for college and higher level teams. but youunger players always end up crashing into each other and it takes a really good setter to run an offense like this

  3. HIya, what is a swing offense????lol

  4. I have played, mentored, and coached. Seemingly it's a great offense if perfomed correctly

  5. I've played agaist teams that have used it some, but usually only for one or two hitters.

I saw it a fair amount in highschool when there was just one or two outstanding hitters on a team. When you play a team like that where it's about stopping one or two hitters, they have to mix up where they hit from, be crazy good from one spot, or lose.

  6. My club team uses a Strong Swing Offence
