What makes hitting a girl any different than hitting a guy?

I wonder the same thing.

If I get in a fight with a man, I expect him to defend himself. I mean, I'm not going to beat someone who won't fight back. But if I hit someone, they have 100% right to hit me back. I can take a punch, I wonder why few men would want to?

On the other hand, I think it's nice that men are caring enough to not smack a woman. It's just...confusing.
