McCain picks a woman for the woman vote......and women rejoice.

But do women really understand what THIS particular would do if elected?

She would set the women's movement BACK 100 years, at least.

How is that HELPING woman, other than having a token woman in the White House? (If elected)

Does this really make sense to anyone? Please explain.

  1. First of all you can't lump all women into one group.  We come in a variety of shapes and sizes and opinions.  SECOND I don't see how she sets women back 100 years.   I call that unsubstantiated drivel.

  2. Set back 100 years?? I cant dumb my brain down enough to even understand what your trying to say.

  3. Why dont you just go to obamas racist church?

  4. i agree with you.  she would push the women's movement back 100 years.  she is against abortion, even in the case of rape, incest, or the health of the mother and baby.  she is also against birth control (WTF?!!!)  so unless women want to set back into the Stone Age, they better leave her alone.

do you know why birth control became such an issue in this country, because women got sick and tired of having to take care of 8, 10, and 15 children.  i am a mother of 2, i love my children to death, but it gets hard sometimes and i couldnt even imagine having anymore.

its my body, its my choice.  i am not a baby making factory, and neither is any other woman on this planet.

    (I think i may be a feminist)

  5. Why is it that only feminist views are represented here?  Sarah represents MANY woman, and my views and values are as legitimate as your views.  Get real!

Did the appointment of Sandra Day O´Conner set back women 100 years?  NO....It made way for Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg....

  6. women should never be in politics.  they should stay in the kitchen and cook for their men and watch the kids like it says in the koran.

  7. Better than the good ole boys DNC.

  8. I completely understand what this particular woman what do...she would continue to support a system that pays a man more for doing the exact same job as a  woman. She would deny all American women to make a choice about their body that he apparently allowed her daughter to make (choosing to keep the baby IS a choice). She would support the same abstinence-onlt education that has appeared to fail her own daughter.

Those are only a couple of reasons this Hillary supporter is voting Obama/Biden

  9. The only women I hear rejoicing are Republican women - and those aren't the ones that McCain was trying to snare with this obvious pick.  I don't think McCain could have been more obvious in his attempt to snare the Hillary supporters who are resisting Obama.  He shows two things by trying this tactic.  One - he doesn't have enough respect for women in general to be aware that women are intelligent enough to know the difference between a Republican conservative and a Democratic moderate who differ widely in their political views.  Two - he isn't smart enough to know he would alienate and insult the very women he was trying to capture with this nonsense.

He already has the pro-life, barefoot and pregnant Republican contingent in his corner.  He needs the Hillary hold outs to win - and he just lost all of them with this ridiculous pick for VP.

  10. Not all women rejoiced. He's not going to get that huge Hillary vote he was hoping for with this pick. Most of those Hillary voters are well educated on the isses and know Palin is the anti-Hillary.

Besides I couldn't vote for someone w/such an abyssmal voting record on women's rights as McCain.

  11. Just because SOME WOMEN are delighted of Gov. Palin's candidacy you think ALL WOMEN ARE?

Alot of us are not DELIGHTED!  We want a women that we know alot about!  Not an Unknown!

Alaska is like a foreign country!  I lived there for over 5 years!  The issues they deal with are in NO WAY related to life in the lower 48 states!

  12. Please explain how this sets us back?

So do you agree that Obama is a token black man then?

  13. The saem agruemnt could be made about Obama.

If he became a failure of a president, he could set back the civil rights movement.

  14. I'm not a woman but you're not giving the intelligent women credit if you think they'll fall for this fiasco by McShame.

  15. Ok, do you you think all woman are Pro-Abortion? There are just as many, if not more, that have the same views Palin has.

  16. Ok Im a woman and I can care less about Palin. She shouldn't be VP. I don't think woman should be told what to do what their bodies and their gifts given to them by nature not America. She's a horrible inspiration to women and not capable of cracking the glass ceiling for woman. If she's voted VP us women better be ready to put on our dresses and aprons.

  17. a token woman how do u figure having a woman as vp is making her a token????? its a first for woman usually they just the secretaries and not given the recognition they deserve. its a symbol of hope for woman that they not limited to just being secretaries at the whitehouse and that its not just a man's world so what should she just quietly go back to the kitchen and start cooking shes entitled to her views. i know this may be a surprise for you but different women have different views on subjects and don't necessarily always agree its more the fact that a woman actually made it to the vp spot the first time this has happened in us history

  18. I asked a similar question.

I'm not a Hillary supporter, for reasons that have nothing to do with your question.

But I GOT why people supported her, I wasn't mad at anyone for supporting her.

But I'm insulted for the Hillary supporters when McCain picked Palin, she doesn't hold a candle to Hillary.

  19. It doesn't make sense...Except that I really think some people do not want to vote for a black man as President...I mean, I was reading the Washington Post this morning and some steadfast Clintonites really don't want to vote for Obama...and that is alright (if that is what they wish to do).  But, do you really want to vote for an ultra-conservative who is against everything that Clinton has worked hard for all her career and life...Then that tells me...these folks were not for Clinton...they were just for voting a white woman in the White House...that's it...they didn't listen to anything that Clinton had to say about her position or the issues...

  20. Since you are not a woman... it is none of your business!

you obviously are a male chauvinist who really  just wants the little woman to stay home and keep out of your oh so macho world.

I have no time for fools!

  21. McCain is desperately trying to "gender pander" to Hillary voters. Palin's first speech made that clear. Guess what, it's not going to work, Hillary supporters are too smart to fall for this.

  22. I'm not sure where you're getting your information.  I am a woman and I am NOT rejoicing about McShame's VP pick.  She has NOTHING to do with my values or the values of Hillary supporters.  The only thing she has in common with myself or with Hillary is that we all have vaginae.
