I can't figure out what I want to be when I get out of HighSchool. Its really bugging me because I don't want to be 'duhhh' I want to know exactly what I want to do in the future. When I was younger I wanted to be a Dental Hygienist.I don't anymore.Than for a long time now its been a Councelor, but im afraid they don't make enough money.Im really interested in becoming a Pharmacist..but then again its 8 years of College I just can't do that.A teacher working in a Highschool would be cool, but Teachers don't get paid enough.Im really good with computers but I don't think im really interested in Computer Software or w.e,Is there any well paying jobs that you may do,or that is a good idea Financially and a good career path? Thanks alot

  1. my step mom is an accountant, you could be good at that, but you have to be good at math.

Or, if you are THAT interested in teaching, you could be a professor. (They make a considerable amount of MULAH)

  2. You are not old enough to know what you want to do in your future.  It is true, that you know what you want, right now...But, you havent seen it all yet. What if you like something more then what you currently like?  It happened to me, and happens to everybody.  I went to college and it took me 5 years to graduate.  But, my first 3 years, I only earned 55 college credits because I didnt know what I wanted to do.  In the last 2 years, I accumulated 74 credits.  So, once I found out, I kicked into high gear to graduate.  Its not easy sometimes.  But, I went from computer science, to computer engineering, back to computer science, to fashion designing, to international business, to photography, and then finally rested on Economics.  Just wait till you see more to decide.  Sometimes you have to feel a career before you like it....Good luck...

  3. The pay in teaching is better than it used to me as there seems to be a shortage of teachers. Since you do not mind going into teaching as it cannot be for everyone and not everyone is qualified or able to do it - you should consider it. But money in teaching can be good for some people and not enough for others.

  4. I think you need to decide what is more important to you: job satisfaction or being well paid. You say you were interested in becoming a councelor or a pharmacist? In my opinion you should go for what interests you, not what pays better.

    Xx
