Question:

Okay...I've decided on a name, but I'd like your perspective on the spelling and the middle name...?

For future reference, I've chosen to go with the name Johanna (joh-HAH-nah,) but do you like this spelling, the spelling of 'Johana,' or 'Johanaa?' My favorite name to use as a middle name has been 'June.' So...what do you think? I thank you so much, by the way. :^]

  1. i have a friend with that name - she spells it Joanna.

the double "j" names - not a fan.

  2. Johanna is the best way to spell it and the most used all around the world. It's a pretty name.  Johanna June sounds good too plus it has meaning since it is a name you like. It is all that counts that you like the names that  you chose for your precious baby,

  3. Johanna is the better spelling, but I do believe it's pronounced with the h silent.

I don't like the double J names though.

    Johanna Ruby

    Johanna Ruth

    Johanna Opal

    Johanna Mae

    Johanna Astrid

  4. I like the spelling Johanna as is.

  5. i like the spelling as is but needs a different middle name i like johanna elizabeth kind of long but good luck!

  6. Joanna, but not with June. She'll go through life as 'JJ'

  7. If you live in the U.S., the spelling "Joanna" is more common.  I think your daughter will thank you for giving her the most common spelling.  It's the same beautiful name, and she will not waste time explaining how it should be spelled.

  8. I like Johanna and June, but together they're match to much.

    What about:

    Johanna Kate

    Johanna Mae

    Johanna Rain

    Johanna Eliza

    Johanna Sage

    Johanna Eden

  9. Johanna June will be as cute as a bug, just like her name!

Stay away from odd spellings... your baby is going to have enough hassle correcting people (teachers!) who think her name is JoANNA (see previous posts!).

As for middle names, they are RARELY used outside of the home and are the perfect opportunity for a parent to bestow a "special" name on their little one.  Congratulations on your baby (whenever she is due!)

  10. I like it spelled Johanna. June is nice, but it makes the name sound a little too old fashioned for my taste. I would probably go with a more modern midle name (i.e. Jazelle, Janay, Jade).

  11. I do not like it spelled Johanaa. It will make you look like you cannot spell or they made a mistake on the birth certificate. Johanna is a beautiful name.

  12. i like johanna spelled like that, i do not like june with it. maybe johanna elaine

  13. Johanaa with two a's at the end is a mess.  It also makes the parent look illiterate.  I personally prefer Johanna, because it's neater and more professional looking, but Johana is cute as well.  June goes well as a middle name!

  14. I prefer the spelling Johanna.

June is alright as a middle name though I am not too keen on the double J in Johanna June.

Have you thought of other Hebrew names as a middle name?

    Johanna Abigail

    Johanna Marlene

    Johanna Isabel

I really like Johanna Abigail personally!

    Good luck!

  15. I like the spelling Johanna. As for middle names what about

    may

    Marie

    Rose

I personally don't like the sound of the double j, but It would be cute and you could call her JJ for short. Hope this helped.

  16. I much prefer Johanna. The extra "a" in Johanaa just seems unnecessary and she would always have to say "with two aa's at the end". And Johana just doesn't look as pretty or feminine as Johanna.

Johana June is cute but I think names typically flow better when the middle name starts with a different letter than the first.

I think a middle name that isn't a noun would be good. Otherwise it might sound like "you wanna". (ie- Johanna Jade).

I can't think of anything great:

    Johanna Mae

    Johanna Claire

  17. I like "Johana" better. When it is spelled "Johanna", it would be grammatically pronounced joh-HAN-nah.

  18. I like Jovanna more.

  19. I LIKE JOHANAA ITS DEF DIFFERENT! idk about J for the first and middle name though. how about May...its only a month different and still a pretty name (Johanaa May) yup i like it haha

  20. i would go with johana--drop the extra a. and i do not care for june, too old fashioned for me.

    johana grace

    johana faith

    johana nicole

    johana brooke

    johana shea

    something other than june, sorry!

  21. I like the first spelling, but I don't think June goes with it very well. I don't really have any special favorite middle names, but here's a few anyway.

    Johanna Lynn

    Johanna Rose

    Johanna Rowen

    Johanna Kathryn

    Johanna Michelle

  22. Johanna June would be cute
