If you have been busy and didn't find anything, then you're okay.

Other than that, shame on you if you didn't find ANYTHING!!!!

Just tell me something cool you found this week I am pretty excited about finding out a lot more about Faith No More! I love rock, but a lot of rock that can't be put into genres, or stuff that melds it all together in new ways. Its great for that.

So what are you guys on fire for this week?

  1. i found a decent local band at what was called "green fest" over the weekend. band was called seedlove. i also found another local band that i gave a listen based on the cover of their album, i may not get the name of the band right, it was something like "al trout's jug band experience" and it was pretty good too.

  2. I've just discovered the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. They really remind me of the Jesus and Mary Chain...very 80's sounding (in a good way). A great band that has been hiding from me...I don't know how i didn't find out about them earlier.

Also, my cousin reccomended me some music and put it onto a mix CD thing. On there is Beirut, Dr. Dog, Devotchka, and etc. So, I've been getting into them too.

  3. i've just found a nice album that i never heard,

called: Beatles n Choro by Rildo Hora (instrumental)

    im fine with him :)

  4. Recently I've discovered the Flying Burrito Brothers and Japan. Faith No More is a great band as well.

  5. Sonic Youth, The Vaselines and The Pixies. Sonic Youth I heard of from Juno. The Vaseliens and the Pixies were Kurt Cobain's fave bands. He had REALLY good taste!

  6. A contact of mine recently introduced me to Alcest.

I haven't bought their album yet but I love what I've heard online so far  - beautiful music.

  7. Cynic

    Kayo Dot

  8. it wasnt this week but it was a recent find for me...

  9. I actually sat down and listened to Fugazi. It wasn't the frist time I've ever heard of them, it was just the first time I actually listened to their music.

  10. Elgibbor

    Black metal from Poland.

  11. i discovered that itunes hates me, because it keeps recommending horrible music. Sorry, but there's nothing there... i really am sorry, i wanted to discover something myself, but i didn't, because of itunes... Sorry!

  12. o yes music does excite me. i love collecting records of artists i think are worth listening. last week i discovered this band called Riverside. they are quite new i think. they are progressive rock/ metal. i got the albums Second Life Syndrome and Rapid Eye Movement. both are quite good. and i have only very recently got into progressive metal/ rock. i am in love with Queensryche, Communic and Riverside.

  13. I've been getting big into hyphy music lately. I've always liked rappers like Mac Dre and E-40 but recently I've been listening to a lot of Keak Da Sneak, Turf Talk, Federation, Mistah F.A.B., stuff like that.

  14. I haven't learned anything thrilling.

I came to the realization that I hate Hermans Hermits more than I originally knew.

Love is being able to listen to them same album 800 times without getting bored.

Ummm... I guess I discovered that there is a band called "Mad Sin" but I couldn't tell you a single solitary thing about them. I was informed that they're the same genre as my favorite band. I don't care. I'm hot and irritable and in no mood to embrace a new band.

    Maybe next week.

    I miss OCMS.

  15. Hayes Carll.  I don't usually listen to Americana music, but I like his music.
