Huge Bucs fan here, and I don't get it. I mean I am HAPPY as all h**l we are keepin Simms and Garcia but if you were a retired QB wouldn't you come to a divsional champion team rather than...the Jets. Do we know what went down and why he chose the Jets over the Bucs because in all the reports it said that he favored the Bucs...

  1. I think the Jets are a better fit.  They already have a bunch of Qbs, including a still very good Jeff Garcia.

I dont know why a Bucs fan would want him.  Garcia and Favre would be equally as effective in the Bucs offense.

  2. I'm a Browns fan, but Im glad that farve is with the jets. Hopefully he is the Brady killer.

  3. I don't buy all of the excuses (weather, etc.).  It's the same as with Green Bay.

With the Bucs he would have to EARN the starting job and he thinks he shouldn't have to do that, even with a new team.

With the Jets, he is the assumed starter.

    It's simple.

  4. They have 5 million Quarterbacks

  5. He doesn't get too much of a choice in the matter. He's a piece of property to the team. The team owner, coaches, and general manager decides who has the best offer on the table and then they decide from there. From what I've heard the Jets had the best offer. Besides that we don't know the details of the offer so who knows what kind of bonus Favre will get with the signing and playing time.

  6. I really don't think Brett had an option. Packer management found the worst team with the least amount of threat to them-- and put him there. Basically as punishment for not accepting their $20 million bribe to stay retired. If the Bucs sucked as much as the Jets or more-- then thats where Brett would be.

  7. because YOUR BUCS *********

  8. The Jets had a more favorable trade for the Packers.

  9. i think it's because he's used to playing in cold environments and he already said he didnt want tampa cause he didnt think he could play in that weather so the jets are much colder than the bucs

and he has a much much better chance of starting with the jets than to fight out the starting job with simms and garcia

  10. I'm guessing it's about money.

  11. i am assuming its all about the money,

    but

Jets uniforms are green and gb uniforms are green too and money is green, why break the theme.  So he stood with the green *LOL*

  12. Originally he said that Tampa was too warm for him. That may have been a deciding factor.
