Okay be honest with me people, how much will Manny help my Dodgers.

Question

I am kind of confused right now, I get home from the gym and find out Manny is a Dodger...

I'm NOT talking WS or anything like that. I mean maybe winning the West and maybe ONE playoff game, lol. The Dodgers already have good pitching, so with all that... What do you think.

He'll definitely produce better than Pierre and Andruw combined, but let's not forget that Chavez Ravine is much more spacious than Fenway.

He'll help offensively and may be enough of a boost to get the Dodgers the pennant in the NL West. Unlike Andruw Jones, who is still a great defender despite his offensive troubles this year, Manny's not the greatest at defense, so that might come back to bite the Dodgers at bit. Unless he does a real 180 from his past behaviour, his attitude and ego may be detrimental as well. I wish the Dodgers luck--of all the NL West teams, I'd like the see them win the most.

the dodgers have gotten an overpriced DH that will put up great state in inning 1-5 as long as the team has clutch hitters that can get you come from behind and late inning runs he will be a great fit.

With Manny Ramirez in the lineup of a contending first place team (dodgers) is awesome! The dodgers are a great team but with another big bat in their lineup really improves their offense!

I think that the dodgers will win the NL West!  But unfortunately lose in the NLCS.

Well, he is one of the best power hitters in the game. And since he'll most likely be trying way harder than he has been recently, i'm sure he'll give the dodgers a lot of offensive support.

Hes not gonna help them AT ALL. *Unless he gets his head outta his a** and starts playing real ball. He needs to know that practice it fun time and game time is work time.

I thought that the dodgers were able to win before we got manny. You can't forget about aquiring casey blake. These two players will be huge down the strech. The only thing that worries me is the shortstop situation. If Nomar can come back and stay healthy we are in great shape.

The Dodgers just became the favorites to win the division.  Beyond that who can say.  The playoffs are a c**p shoot at best.  They are several very good teams in the National League so whether the Dodgers reach the big dance will depend not only on their hitting but pitching as well.  Ony time will tell.

Manny is going to need to buy himself a GPS to find his way through the spacious outfield at Chavez Ravine. He's easily the worst outfielder of the bunch but you can't NOT have him in the lineup becuase of his lethal bat. If they put Kemp in front of him, look for his numbers to jump much like Ortiz's did.

Manny could make the Dodgers the favorite but his fielding could lose as many games as his bat can win them.

Yeah I say that as long as he starts trying he can definitely make a 180. I think his numbers will go up, and that he can quickly adjust to new pitchers and new ballparks. I'm excited to see him play. I'm going to see the dodgers on saturday

He will surely help the Dodgers offensively as they lack a power hitter.  Kemp is the closest thing with his 12 HR.  He will definitely add some thunder in this Dodger lineup and maybe will keep the west a good race.
