Ok I just became a Gold Canyon Demonstrator. I don't know too many people in my area. I have people say that they really like the candles and would like to order but i can't quite get them to go through with the sale. Why would they show interest aproach me about it but then I follow up they say oh no I have been busy...... so I need to know how to be agressive but not too much too push them away. I also have a site here it is maybe I am not set up right? http://www.mygccandle.com/aliciasmith

  1. i went with tupperware because the available products are more diverse.  candles are candles and if someone isn't into candles there's nothin there for em.  tupperware has toys, food mixes, stuff for the kitchen, garage, home office, stuff for taking your lunch or organizing your pantry, home fragrances, tea, teapots, seasonings, kitchen towels and other cleaning cloths, utensils, etc and you can earn more than just tupperware when you sell alot.  you can earn cash car allowances, home electronics, all expense paid trips, jewelry, fine furnishings.......

    good luck with the candles

  2. I don't know Gold Canyon candles but generally any of these "party plan" schemes have outrageous prices and unless your candles are incredibly unique in some way,  people can probably buy similar stuff much cheaper in the stores. Perhaps you'll do better nearer Christmas, people are more likely to part with money then..

  3. I worked in sales for 16 years and one of the most important things I learned is how to uncover the HIDDEN OBJECTION. The hidden objection is the REAL reason why they aren't buying your goods. You must find out so you can then resolve the problem.

The "I have been busy" line is what is called a SMOKE SCREEN, designed a polite way to say "no".

One of the best ways to get closer to a "yes" when you hit a roadblock is to say something like this:

"Well, Mrs Jones, you seemed to really like the XYZ candles. You said that they would be perfect in your den, and I remember how you just loved the rose fragrance"  [ Re-build Value]

"I was wondering if I may  ask what was holding you back for taking advantage of this great offer? Is it the color?  The scent? The...

Keep narrowing it down until you find out the source of their resistance.

Don't be afraid to ask, just be warm and friendly but also direct and persistent when you do.
