  1. well first off, you need a good flat iron. try a remington wet 2 straight. that's the kind i have, it works really well.

and what i've found that works the best is showering the night before, and brushing it through. then in the morning, brush it (duh) and while you're getting dressed and doing your morning routine, let your flat iron heat up. then just straighten it straight down from top to bottom, and brush and use a little tiny bit of hairspray, and you're done!

  2. I use Paul Mitchell's Super Skinny Serum and Straight Works Gel.  I also wash my hair with Sunsilk's straightening shampoo and conditioner.  I then blow it dry and I have CHI Hair Straightener.  CHI irons are sold in salons and are at least $100, but it's well worth the investment.  It makes me hair incredibly straight and I've been experimenting with things to straighten my hair since I was like 12, and this is the most effective product I've ever used combined with the Paul Mitchell products.

  3. The answer is DON'T.  You will end up frying your hair and it will never look how you want it to.  If you are willing to pay lots of money (monthly) for professional Japanese straightening by a professional stylist, then I would say go for it.  Otherwise, what's natural is always best.
