I weighed 197 in the beginning of the summer and its the second last week of the summer and i weigh 185. I am still losing weight and working out alot and i am deciding on getting a tattoo. The tattoo is a lion with a punjabi symbol. The tattoo will go from my chest/shoulder to my biceps. Is it a bad idea to get it now? or should i get it later because i really dont want it to be distorted and steched up.

AND IF YOU ARE ABOUT TO LECTURE ME ON GETTING A TATTOO PLEASE DONT LEAVE A MSG

  1. Well think of it this way if your gonna to continue to lose weight i would wait until you meet your goal. I dont know any othr stats of yours so its hard to make an accurate answer. Like whats your body fat % at, how tall are you. Are you gonna be trying to gain muscle mass or lose a good amount of weight?

  2. No one has ever gotten AIDS from a tattoo needle before if it was done at a tattoo parlor. They use a different needle everytime. Call a tattoo place and ask them about it, I really don't think it will matter because it's on an area where there won't be very much weight change.

  3. MY HEALTH TEAHCER TOLD US THAT YOU CAN GET AIDS BY GETTING A TATTO BECAUSE THEY USE THE SAME NEEDLE ON EVRYBODY..[=

  4. I would say wait, tattoos take a lot of time to heal and they also need a lot of attention. When you get a tattoo the skin peals, and I honestly don't think working out would help the healing process. Wait until you're happy with your weight and then go get the tattoo as a congrats! :D good luck...

  5. I would say wait, just because you're body will be going through a lot of changes that affects the skin.  Also, think of it this way.  If you lose the amount of weight that you want to lose, you can get the tattoo as a type of reward.

  6. I think it all depends on how much you plan to lose. Like if you think you just want to lose 20 pounds or so, it won't do much to your skin, so you should be fine. If you want to lose 90 pounds, however, you might want to wait in case you need to remove excess skin beforehand.

  7. i really dont think that losing weight will drastically effect the tattoo, but if just in case, you should get to the weight you want to be and then get the tattoo. the only  thing to make sure about a tattoo, is to keep it clean and moisturized and to stay out of the sun.
