  1. oh i had a fingernail fall off. (i had on long fake nails and i rode a roller coaster,, you know where this is going, right)

anyway, the new nail starts to grow (kind of wierd because it grows from like the middle, not the bottom up like i thought) and as it grows out, it pushes the old one off (kind of like a tooth) so yeah, put a bandaide on and wait until it is close and healed a little and then take clippers and cut until it hurts (where it is still attached and keep repeating until it is grown in totally , hope this helps!

  2. If you're worried about it getting snagged and ripped out, just trim away the loose part. The rest will loosen up after awhile, you can trim that as well if it's giving you trouble.

  3. I had mine fall off before...it involved jumping up some stairs...yeah...

when it became really lose i just cut it out, it didnt hurt at all since the skin was dead. but until it was dead/loose enough to do that i taped my toenail to my toe....

  4. Mine just fell off after an unfortunate luggage accident. I was travelling (hence the luggage) so i just bought some of that fabric medical tape once it started to get loose, and taped it on until it was good and ready to come off. Sucks that they take like, a year to grow back. It's not very pretty. I'm not sure if there's anything i can do now but keep it clean and wait.

  5. The tissue is dead, so it will come off by itself. If it is annoying / rubbing on your sock or shoe, you can help it along by removing it gently. They usually grow back.

    Sounds like a bummer!
