Okay really random question, what happens when you attempt suicide or if you call 9-1-1 theartening suicide?

Like is you attempt and someone finds you in time to call 9-1-1, or if you call 9-1-1 yourself, what happens next after the next few days?

that happened to me.. my youth pastor called the cops on me right before I was gonna take a bottle of pills.. most people get sent to a psychiatric hospital for 2-3 days but I spent 11 days there

well if u call 911 threatening suicide, they will A)come to your house or B) forward you to the national suicide hotline.

your put on suicide watch, sent to a mental hospital and the treat you there.  If they discover that your completely sane then they will press crimal charges and it is possible to be sent to jail for it.  Most of the time though its a giant fine

If you are thinking about doing this for attention, don't.  You will end up in a mental hospital under observation.  It happened to a friend of mine.  She was trying to get attention so she called the police and told them she was going to kill herself.  She got plenty of mental evaluations after she was arrested. and they came and got her within ten minutes.  So it really depends on if they get to you quick enough, or if you are just after attention.  and if you were going to kill yourself, why would you call the cops on yourself, you know it's illegal, right?

You have to be observed at a hospital psych ward at least overnight, you can be committed (depending on your behavior at the psych ward), you may have to do out-patient therapy.  Basically, you will be forced to get therapy.  If you are thinking of suicide please call 1-800-suicide.  They will help you!

the police and ambulance come and you go for treatment or you can go to your local hospital with out the drama if you need help please get help suicide leaves scars on all who care

the police come and take you to the boobie hatch.....but seriously you will be taken to hospital where you will be evaluated and probably held for 24-48 hrs depending the results of your evaluation
