Okay so I'm reading the book the Namesake...?

The one written by Jhumpa Lahiri and as successful it has been with the critics, it's just not my kind of book.

I can't even get through a page without losing interest. I have to read it as part of my summer reading but I have so many other things to do I'm debating whether to just watch the movie and be done with it.

If you've seen the movie and read the book, can you tell me if there's too big or too many differences between the two and if I'm just better off reading the stupid thing?

  1. I haven't seen the movie, but I read the book recently and thought it was pretty bad.

If you have to read the book for a class in school, then I'm afraid you'll have to just suck it up and slog through to the end. But if you're just reading it for the heck of it, then by all means, don't bother finishing it. Absolutely nothing happens -- and that's sort of the point of the book. But, yeah, as you said...it's not my kind of book.

  2. I hav the movie but I havent evr wached it. my pars didn think it was appropriate for a 10year old and now I just dont wanna wach it. I got better things to do.
