Okay so I just got back from my appointment after having a miscarriage 3 weeks ago but need help understandin?

Well I went to the doctor today, I had a D&C 3 weeks ago at 8 weeks in my pregnancy. First thing first was the ultrasound and my uterus was still not cleared up! So, the doctor then asked for a urine sample it came out negative. He then gave me 4 pills to complete the miscarriage they are called "Misoprostol" and wants to see me in 2 weeks.

Okay ladies is this common that even though with a D&C(almost 4 weeks ago) my body is still not cleared up? What about the negative pregnancy test isn't that a good sign? As far as the pills I just took one after I ate what should I expect from those? Cramping? Bleeding? Thank you :)

Yes that is a very good thing that the pregnancy test showed negative because you do not have any hcg hormone left in your system.  In relation to your uterus not having been cleared they are obviously concerned that there is still something there which should not be so you should take these tablets and I would expect them to bring on a period more than likely with cramping and all the usual symptoms.

Sorry to hear about your miscarriage and wish I could answer your question but dont know the answer.  I have had 2 miscarriages, the first one required D&C and the 2nd one my body completely aborted the fetus.

Both took me around 8-9wks before I got my period back & I think your hormones are often all over the place for a while after being pregnant.

I only had cramping & bleeding whilst miscarrying & then nothing.
