Do they take a deposit when you pick the car up? Their website doesnt say anything about a deposit but ppl said they ask for a deposit. Or a mahor credit card they want. Does anyone know how much this is? And do you have to have insurance? Again their website does not tell you.

  1. if you haven't already rented from them, i wouldn't recommend it. i have always had bad experiences with them. they left me stranded in puerto rico after telling me that they were on their way. didn't bother to call me back and tell me that they weren't coming. i had to hitchhike and they had no remorse.

however, they do take a deposit and a major cc is required. just like a hotel, they don't run the card, you can pay by cash, check or traveler's check when you pick it up. it's just to hold the reservation to make sure that you return it. the prices range from about $15/day (if you have insurance) to about $75/day, depending on what type of car you get. You don't have to have insurance. You can purchase it from Enterprise for about $20/day; which i would recommend. good luck. oh and also, you have to be 25 to rent from them, unless you've totaled your car in a wreck.

  2. If you are using a debit card, they will place a hold for a couple of hundred dollars, whereas a credit card will simply be used to hold the cost.  As for insurance, if you do not carry automobile insurance that covers rentals, or use and American Express business card, you should get the coverage they offer.  They can be sticklers, so no matter what insurance you choose, walk around the car and note any damage inside and outside the vehicle to the person checking you off the lot.

  3. last time that i did it w/o a deposit it was 250.00 deposit and yes i had to have insurance. imsure that they have ins. that you can purchase.

  4. They will require a $200 deposit if you are not using a major credit card. In addition to that, they will charge the car rental cost plus tax. You only buy insurance from them when you don't have full coverage or when your insurance does not cover every car you drive.

  5. It Sounds like you are really screwed up by this problem. Hope you could get good luck here.http://car-insurance.bestips.info/car-in...
