Okay so at my school, you can get kicked out for attempting suicide/cutting, or getting an abortion....?

I have no idea why. But anyway, what if you go to the counselor, who people are telling me is 'completely confidentional' and say that I did one of the three things, then what?

btw, I would never do anything of the three things, I am 100% pro-life

I think they would ask you about it. I don't think they would just kick you out with searching for the truth first.

That's not for the students, that's for the faculty.

school counselors are never confidential. I went to one once about an issue I was having and less than a day the principal and my folks knew.

So dont go to a school counselor. go to a real one in the real world if you have something bad going on. (which you dont)

Tell the counselor you had an abortion, see if they keep that confidential, if you get kicked out, you'll know the answer.

Here's a thought, you could set up that counselor to see if they do act unprofessional, after all, it would be easy to show with a physical exam if you had an abortion.

That way you can get a paid for college education with just the threat of a suit.

school counsellor's are paid by the school, and have to report any anti social behaviours to the board.

Although they say "confidential" they are not entirely. If school policy persists then they will have to hand you in.

The school also has a right to kick you out for those acts as it diminishes the schools integrity and social standing.

Some private schools don't like have people like that in their environment. They seem to think it makes the good kids bad. Either way, I think it's wrong. If a child or teen is suicidal that means THEY ARE UNSTABLE, and they need help, the last thing to do is kick them out of their school. I went to private school for eight years, and we didn't have kids like that, but at some very strict schools they completely disagree with it. I can sort of see the abortion thing, but I don't think they should totally shun the girl. I mean, shouldn't they shun the guy, too? (if he went to said school.) I don't know, I think some school systems are sort of messed up on their beliefs about suicide and/or cutting or abortion, it's not right to make those people feel abandoned. Wouldn't you agree?

That's insane.  But yea - if you told the counselor you did one of those things, you know the counselor wouldn't keep it confidential because it's against school rules.  A shame, really.

If you go to a private or religious school they can do whatever they want, within constraints. But it sounds like a religious school, and yes they can kick you out for whatever reasons they want. Is it right? No. Is it legal? Yes.
