Okay...so how often should you wash your balls?

do you do it after each hole? or just when you've been in the rough and your ball has dirt or debris on it. and if you do wash it, should you use it right away, or do you get a dry one and put the clean one away for later.

OK, so after I fell off my chair ROFLOL....

When they need it.  If it gets a dirt clod on it (affectionately called a jockey in golf terms), the next tee it will get a dip.  A smudge, a green spot, etc. Usually I will wash it.

Of course, if I did REALLY well on the last hole.. I will play it dirty.

ROFL at first answer. Ok, well, I think you should wash them after use. Make sure they're completely dry before using them again. It wouldn't hurt to have several spare balls.

Only when the ball gets muddy, really.  And I prefer dry balls to wet, so I'll dry it off using a soft rag.

I wash them after I mark my ball on the green, since that's really the only time you can (unless its winter rules). I also wash them before I tee off. And, whenever I get relief or a stroke penalty, I wash them. Basically, I wash them any time I can.

But most importantly, wash them before you putt. A cleaner ball rolls more true and makes you sink more putts.

I usually only do it if my ball has dirt or debris on it...and I usually use it right away after I wash it.  But then sometimes I wash them just for fun, because the ball cleaner is fun to use.
