im about 101/2 weeks and have only had one appt. and have the 2nd on the 9th for an ultrasound. the nurse tried to hear a heartbeat at the first appt but we didnt hear anything i know it was early but i would have liked to have felt reassured that things were going well. im so afraid something may not be okay and i cant make the feeling go away...i mean as far as i know nothing out-of the- ordinary has happened. been a naseous, headaches, tired, bloated, very mild cramping, and have felt pressure and tingliness down there is that normal? i guess i just need some kind of doctor confirmation :) . also since i had blood tests and a pap if something would have went wrong with those they should have called by now right (2wks ago) thanks in advance

  1. Its normal, and its not good to stress about things, thats not good for your baby. But worrying about your baby is apart of being a mother. :) congrats, :) im a worry wart too lol.

  2. Do you know if your uterus is tilted? Sometimes if you have a tilted uterus it is hard to hear the heart beat. I had that with my first. And if they had any concern the doctors will let you know. Get use to being a worry wart it comes with being a great mother. Good luck!!!!!

  3. try not to worry. In pregnancy you should try never to worry until the doc worry's.Other wise you'll be a freak the whole time. If you really feel in your gut somethings wrong call the doc and get in sooner. They understand first time mommy's and should understand your insecurities and if they don't s***w em' it's your health insurance you should have some say of what makes you comfortable

  4. I didn't hear my baby's heartbeat until 14 or 15 weeks. I'm sure your fine i wouldn't worry in less the cramping gets worse or your start to bleed or heavy spotting.

  5. stressing will give you a bad, fussy baby, so dont do it! everything you're describing is normal. trust me, if the baby was dead, your body would know right away and start to have a miscarriage to get it out of you. i didnt hear my baby's heartbeat til 12 weeks and all is well.

  6. you'll be fine from what i can remember its hard for them to hear a heartbeat before 12wks thats when i heard my boys heartbeat for first time. you need to relax and remember the more you worry the more stress you're putting on your body so stop focussing on what could go wrong and enjoy this precious time! relax!!!! and if you want to know the results ring up! congrats on becoming a mum, welcome to the club!

  7. being worried in the first few weeks is perfectly normal. considering the embryotic period (up to 8 weeks) is the most critical and the most likely time that problems/adverse affects may occur. Following this the fetal period (9 weeks til birth) everything should be fine. risks are substantially lowered.

But yes i can most certainly understand that having doctors confirmation that everything already gives a large relief.

as for the tests ... yes problems would have been notified by now.

  8. Yeah.. It's too early to hear the heartbeat right now. I was 14 weeks pregnant when they listened to the heartbeat. Try to just relax a bit. I understand that you worry a lot and it's normal because you love your baby and you care about him/her. Nausea, headaches, feeling tired and bloated, mild cramping (this made me feel good believe it or not because it's a sign that my baby was growing inside me).. all this is normal. Nothing to worry about. You should worry if you spot or bleed though.. Did you give your doctor the lab results from the pap smear and blood test? If there was something wrong, he/she would've told you about it already. Mine gave me updates right after I submitted the results and everything was fine. :)

  9. I couldn't hear either of my babies heartbeats at 8 weeks or 12 weeks either.  With both pregnancies they had to do an ultrasound for my peace of mind.  It happens, so don't worry at all!  They are just so so so little so its kind of hard at this point.  I completely understand you worrying, but rest assured that it is very common.
