Okay so i need help , my guinea pig just peed blood its the first time i noticed,, but?

he was in pain when he peed but it got better now he just peed blood. Theres no 24/hour emergency vet here and I need to know if theres a 24/hour pet hotline in NB canada or anyways else in canada,Please help I'm really nervous so no stupid comments please

well i would call any 24 hour emergency vet and see what they say.,,,doesnt have to be close

Have you been feeding him a lot of carrots?  Blood in the urine is not usually visible, but reddish-orange urine is too much carotene in their digestive tract.

I'm really sorry, but your guinea pig might have a urinary tract infection.

That's not good. I wish they had a pet 911. I'm so sorry, and I know you should get him to a vet asap. Don't let them make you wait when you get there. Sometimes they might just tell you to sit in the waiting room, but make sure you don't let that happen. You might not be able to get a vet, but stay with him and just hold him if you can.
