The stitches feel off already but I need something to hold her ears up... I don't know what I need... can anyone tell me what I need and how I have to do it?

P.S. If you're just gonna start saying that it's cruel to cropp the ears don't bother becuase I already did it and I just need to know how to keep her ears up untill her ears are completely healed.

  1. How old is the dog? quite often the cartilage of a dogs ears don't harden until they are a little older. It might just be that you need to wait for her to mature.

  2. You need to go back to the vet who did the ears.  It's the after care that determines if the crop is successful or not.  Most times the ears have to be taped or braced for a time before they will stand.  So again talk to the vet who did the surgery about the after care.

  3. I'm very against this for the record (it is cruel). BUT I can help. You can use medical tape & small pieces of cardboard (very small, but only if needed) to make a kind of splint (like you would for a broken finger) for her ears. This will hold the ears up while the cartilage is hardening. It usually takes until they're about 3 months old for it to harden completely.  Be oh so careful when removing the tape though. It really hurts their fur/skin.

  4. It may be best to ask the place you got his ears cropped at, they could tell you exactly what you need.

  5. take her to the vet so the vet can do it
