  1. I was home-schooled from kindergarten to 12Th grade.  I really enjoyed homeschooling.  Also I think that you can learn a lot more.  I am now in my first year of college.  I did not have any trouble getting into school.  I just had to take the GED (which I scored higher than anyone in the graduating class area of central Missouri.  As a Nuclear engineer student I can say that homeschooling has worked for me

  2. I am homeschooled.

I have been homeschooled since my 9th grade year.

I am now in the 12th grade.

I homeschool through my local school district.

I only go to school once a week. I work throughout the week.

Homeschooling isn't for everyone but it's for me. It's just the same are regular school, it's not for everyone.

I like homeschooling it works for me.

If you want to know anything else or talk more, e-mail me, and check out my source list, it may help you.

  3. It is very nice, and having friends in public school doesn't prevent me from having a social life.

  4. Well i dont know which grade you want to do, but I have been homeschooled since 8th grade. and i loved it for the fact of not having to wake up sooooo early in the morning. but right now im a senior and graduating this month from pennfoster. I paid around $1000 for it, but im getting my highschool diploma this month, and it only took me a year to earn it. SO I was really happy i found the program, and im planning on starting college full time in Jan. at the age of 16. Its soooo awesome. i got like  a 3 year head start of all my friends that are currently in 10th grade.but if you want anymore info. email me @ angelachka24@yahoo.com.

  6. I was homeschooled my entire primary education career. Pre-K all the way through 11th grade (at which point I graduated with way more high school credits than I needed and went off to college having taken the SATs in 9th and 10th grade and scored high enough to be admitted with honors and scholarships at lots of different colleges). I loved it. Now, I will admit that it was a lot of work. A lot of work. But that makes sense based on all the stuff I crammed into those years. It was a great experience and I wouldn't want to go back and have to be in public school for almost anything. I loved being able to work at my own pace. I loved not having to wait for a teacher to explain the concept to all the rest of the students. In college, I often get frustrated by these things (perhaps I should switch over to an online college). My courses in high school were split up between a few online courses (met once a week for an hour and a half and the rest was on your own---and when I was in the school it was pretty much an honors school only, so the caliber of students was very high), self-taught courses (such as, in 11th grade, I acquired a college textbook in economics and worked through that on my own), and earlier in high school a few group courses with home-schooled students in my area (a few literature courses that mostly needed the discussion elements of having the other students).

Homeschooling is more expensive than public school, but usually a bit less than private school. You can work at your own pace. You can pick your own curriculum. Depending on the state where you live the requirements will vary (I live in NY--the requirements here are about as strict as they get). Some states don't even want to know what you are doing--just saying that you are homeschooled is enough for them. A portfolio is beneficial. Some colleges will make you take the GED before they will accept you. Sometimes the GED has a stigma associated with it. I therefore did not take the GED--I got a letter from my local school superintendant saying that I had fulfilled all the requirements for graduation from a New York State public school. My SAT scores got me into college with no problem.

So...why do you want to be homeschooled? What exactly are you looking for from these answers? I tried to be clear on what you might encounter and gave a small overview of my experiences. If you have specific questions you can try emailing me.

  7. Im cyberschooled....PAVCS.

    I LOVE IT!

  8. I go to Alpha Omega Academy, and I'm in the 10th grade.

    It's an amazing online school.

They set up a network for the students to talk to each other, and such too.
