Okay say you copy and paste a url into the bar at the top of the screen and the site doesn't change, only a box asking you if you want to download an ifile.

Here's an example

http://2006v.com/didier/music/Vertical Horizon/Running On Ice - 1995/11. Vertical Horizon - Sunrays and Saturdays.mp3

Say that's an ifile that you meant to come up as it is one of the songs you want to download, and you download it.

Here's the question.

The site which is the source of the ifile, can they charge you for downloading it?

  1. if they have you sign up for an account and get your credit card number.

until the plans for full pay per click internet are turned into reality i doubt otherwise.

however, you can be targeted by the FTC and all who deal with DRM and copyright infringement.

  2. They can only charge you if you made an online transaction and they have your credit card on file.

    Thanks for the free song!

  3. i think they can as long as it isn't like a downloading website....but dont go by my word...i'm not sure
