Okay this was really strange..?

Question

I was at the mall today and I walked into a store and an alarm went off..? Why is this?

After looking around in the store, I didn't buy anything so I walked out with my purse, circuit city & macy's bags and the alarm went off again?.. (um I didn't steal anything)

so why does this happen?

something you bought at another store didn't get deactivated completely.

that happened to me the other day, but I only bought something at one other store, I went back there, and sure enough, they didn't deactivate the thing properly earlier.

My cell phone has done this before.  Something in your purse has the same frequency as those alarm things.  Could be a car remote, a cell phone, etc.

I know that when it happend to me I was mortified, I didn't want anyone to thing that I was stealing something.

Something on your person ie metal trigger the alarm. I have had this happen to me and the only thing I had on me was a credit card and my car keys. No purse no bag nothing.

Did you have a CD or DVD in your bag cause I worked at a store once and if someone had that in there purse our alarm would always sound, But i have also had it where they forgot to take the sensor off at another store and its funny that it didnt beep when i left the store i bought it from.
