Okay to get bangs if I have a small forehead?

I really want bangs straight across my forehead, but someone told me that it would look weird because I have a smallish forehead. I don't think it would.. what do you think?

I have a small forehead and i LOVE my bangs - they are sidesweep bangs. Your stylist can cut the bangs in such a way that they will flatter you no matter what your forehead size!
