  1. for my school, we have a forms and fees day, and after the parents hand in all the forms and pay for everything - you get your schedule.

maybe check your school website, or ask your parents.

once you get your schedule, it should come with a map. either that, or try to print one of off the website. then study the map to see where all your classes are.

if your school has a back-to-school night or an orientation - go to that. it gives you a chance to find and try to open your locker. then walk to where all your classes are. then - do it again! lol! that way you have a very good idea of where your classes are.

for the first day, find out what lunch hour your friends are in. meet up with them outside of the caferteria, or at a certain table in the cafeteria.

if you get lost, just ask a teacher or a friendly looking student.

don't worry, you'll be fine. good luck!

  2. Check your school's website. It'll probably have information on when and how to buy lockers (and when you go to buy one, they'll be glad to give you directions), open house (definitely go to this), and any other pertinent information.

Most larger schools pass out maps to students, so you're covered there.

Yes, your school will contact you with all the necessary information, so don't worry.

Just sit with your friends. If you don't have lunch with any of them, try a FOAF (friend of a friend) or, better yet, find someone who has your lunch before the start of the school year and make friends.

If you do get lost, ask teachers first. It's okay to ask other students, but don't bother them if they're busy, in a hurry, or just look like they might eat you. Annoying people is a great thing NOT to do.

    Have a great year.

  3. chill

my freshman year was freakin awesome!

    stay out of drama

    make new friends

don't act like your all that and a bag of ships! the older students hate that. You dont want to get on the older students bad side.

    Instead become friends with them

good luck and there is nothing to be nervous about

.oh and the classes well just ask someone for help.

its not like your the only one that doesnt know where her classes are.Everyone feels the same way.Evan me! i am going to start my sophomore year i have to find my classes. But its no biggie .Just be pasient look around and youll find them.

  4. Hey, I don't really know the answer to all your questions (i'm sure someone else will).  But remember everyone else will be in the same boat as you!  You can ask other students or teachers at any time if you need help - remember, they've all been there and they will be happy to help.  I'm sure you will get more details on your first day, they won't just expect you to turn up and know what to do.  It will take a while to settle in but soon you will get into a routine!

  5. Don't worry! I was in the same position two years ago. My freshman year my school set up a Ninth Grade Transition week. They just showed up around the school and we kind of got an opportunity to meet a few new friends. They also gave us our schedules and we took ID pictures.

As far as where your classes are, more than likely your school will hand out a map for you to get around better. And don't feel bad about asking upperclassmen about where certain areas of the school are. At my school, they give us our locker numbers and combinations during the first week of school. When you go to lunch, sit with people that you already know or for example someone who you may take a few classes with. That's a great way to make new friends.

Of course, the scenario at your school may be different than mine. Even so don't worry the staff at your school has already probably figured these things out. High school is really different than middle school and the first few weeks may be a little confusing, but once you get the hang of it, you'll be a sophomore before you know it! Good Luck!

  6. Cool i am going to be a freshman too! But i have a sister who will be a senior to help me.

At lunch : sit with friends.

Yes they do send you a schedule, and i would suggest getting a group of friends and going to the school to find your classes before school starts.

And (i asked my sis) yes you can ask anyone where your classes are......... they will not bite

  7. all i can sa is - dont worry, i felt the same way...but i got through it...you will to...theyll tell you where your classes are and help you with whatever other problems you have...

  8. You most likely will have an open house where you can learn the layout and stuff.  I'm pretty sure the staff won't mind if you ask them where to go.

  9. People will be able to help. Depends at my school when you start senior school all year 7's and new students in yr 8-10 (i think) come a day early where they get tours, timetables and their locker. Good Luck. And remember you wont be the only one.
