Okay what does this mean in psychology??or paranormal?

I have no idea what this person meant, but the other day I went to the store and a lady walked up to me and said "you just scanned me" I said "what?" she said I have the ability to scan people, what the h*ll does that mean? Is she a nut job or what did she mean?

She might be referring to the ability to "read" people. For example, if you see a person and get one of those "stay the heck away from this person" feelings, it could be because you have subconsciously "read" this person's intentions.

she could have just been some crazy person.

i can tell you that scanning means you have tryed to read someones mind. if you dont know you did it , then you didn't.

i think you have attracted someone who is desturbed. who has singled you out  . have you seen this woman before???

i can also tell you that this term "scanning" , has been used in horror movies. one movie is called SCANNERS.

it is about geneticly altered humans ,who are able to manipulate peoples minds.

i haven't ever met anyone who could do that without my concent

be careful of people who claim they are able to do that.

In terms of the paranormal "scanning" is just another word for mind reading.

As for your case in terms of psychology what it means is that you found a lady who is a bit off her rocker.

Scanning usually means looking for medical abnormalities.

Sometimes people are so sensitive that when you do so much as an appraisal to see if a person is trustworthy they can feel it.

Probably something you have been doing without knowing it. When you look at someone or think about someone nearby use a little more tact. Your mind maybe probing in private areas or just a little more than people are used to.

If it were me you might have gotten hurt or at the very least a sour mouth. It has happened to me in the last couple of months and I knew it was a teenager that was just an innocent and I looked at her and she blushed and just shrugged.

Not everyone is sensitive to know when they are being probed by an innocent. Just go a little more lightly, you may be driving people away from you and didn't know why.

You could be my friend but you would soon learn your limits.

Easy now, we love you but not so much..

did you look at her? I think she meant that you might have the knack for sizing someone up just by looking at them, but the term scanning would seem to me to go deeper than that. For example, just looking at someone and getting an idea of what kind of person they are isn't some any kind of ability, it's just keen observation skills. But if you were a clairsentient say, you'd get deeper than just guessing, you'd know, because you'd feel deep inside what kind of person they really were. Ask yourself what you gained about her in your glance at her? What do you think you know about her, were she to ask you? Those who are sensitive can feel it when someone's poking inside of them, she obviously noticed.
