  1. Well, if you like driver's throwing you the finger and constant road rage, go to Texas. If you like people who speed, and get on your bumper, try Utah or California.

  2. Actually, it's New Jersey for the year 2008, according to a US News report.  New York was listed as the worst in 2007 by CNNMoney.  But in general, the New England states are not considered good drivers based on their results on a driver's survey/test that was taken by over 5000 people across the nation (including Washington DC).

Kansas is listed as having the best drivers for 2008.

Check the article under the sources for more info of this report.  The second link has the overall listing of best driving states.

  3. FL--Old people can't drive.

I have a great respect for them in general, but they can't drive.

  4. FLORIDA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

  5. Kansas!

Everyone here does think and does all the right things, but they just dont give a s*** about anyone else on the road.

  6. I must say the great state of Alabama!  We moved here 3 years ago.  We've lived in several states.  Alabama is by far the worst.  Running red lights is the norm.  They weave in and out of traffic and no they don't use signals.  They fly up on your bumper. Constantly taking their lane and yours too!  I live in Birmingham and at times the traffic can be rather heavy.  It's not a fun drive when someone is constantly tailgating.  I'm by no means a slow driver.  People are very nice, but not too bright when it comes to driving.

  7. Florida. They have old people on meds who can't see well, tourists (from around the world), and young people out on spring break. That is a bad combination of crazy driving.

  8. new york, absolutely. stop signs are invisible, yellow lights mean 'accelerate so you make it,' rather than 'slow down.' speed limits are completely optional and do not apply to you if you don't want them to. there is a 3-second grace period after a light turns red that you can get through with low risk of an accident. riders on sport bikes dodge in and out of cars on busy highways at speeds in excess of 100mph, quite often at night. don't believe me? take a drive on the long island expressway, in fact, just take a drive anywhere on long island in general. i know all you long island residents will agree with me. avoid driving there at all costs if you can.

  9. they're bad drivers in every state.

  10. Louisiana

  11. Hi, this could be a hard call... I can say that I recently was visiting my son and his wife, in San Antonio, Texas and with the 75 MPH speed limit in most places and expressways all over the city and folks going much faster than the posted, 75 MPH, it was a heart pounding, thrill ride every time we went out! I'm so glad that my son knows how to drive!!!  Buckle up! Stay safe and trust no one one out there on the roadways!  Peace! Moonstar*
